Cash Flow Planning Retirement Planning Holistic Planning High Net Worth Private Clients About me I have been working in financial services since 1982, including over 30 years as an independent financial planner. I was the first financial planner in Hertfordshire to be awarded the BSI ISO22222 standard as a Certified Financial Planner. I am a Member of the Personal Finance Society and the Chartered Insurance Institute, and an Associate of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment. Prior to joining HFMC Wealth, I was the Business Development Director of Generic Financial Management plc, which I founded in 1985. I specialised in holistic financial planning, which included lifetime goal-setting, investment planning, risk management, retirement and taxation advice to high net worth individuals, trusts and small businesses. Following the acquisition of Generic Financial Management plc by HFMC Wealth Group, I am now Business Development Director of the Group with responsibility for growing the firm's client base and funds under management, whilst also heading up HFMC Wealth Group Adviser Development Programme. During my time at Generic Financial Management plc I developed the unique Executive Results Programme, a tool for business owners to maximise the wealth and value created from their companies. About me Lifelong cash-flow planning is at the heart of the advice I provide to my clients. In essence, I help them plan so that they never have a fear of running out of money. If I find they are likely to accumulate more and more wealth throughout their lifetime, I advise them on how to reduce the impact of inheritance tax and pass as much of this wealth as possible onto future generations. Every client is unique and therefore the importance of understanding and including individual lifetime goals as part of their financial plan cannot be underestimated. As part of the planning process I look to consider the impact of different scenarios, for example, what would be the effect of a future need for long-term care, with the associated costs, on the projected outcome? I believe that this approach helps my clients make informed decisions regarding their financial futures, for example, whether they should make lifetime gifts to family or trust, or invest to grow their wealth, considering how much risk they might want, or need, to take to achieve their goals. My aim is to deliver solutions tailored to individual [...]
About me I have worked as an independent financial adviser for over 30 years, advising private clients and businesses on all aspects of their financial requirements. I’ve always taken a holistic approach to financial planning, rather than a purely product-based approach. Financial planning isn’t just about choosing the right investment or picking the best pension plan. Instead, I focus on building long term relationships with my clients and their families so that together we can design and implement lifelong financial planning strategies that are appropriate for each generation. Using market-leading and sophisticated cash-flow forecasting tools my team and I can provide clients with a window into their financial future with the aim of ensuring that they never run out of money. One of the most satisfying aspects of the work I do is showing clients how having a plan in place can help them achieve their financial independence at the earliest opportunity. Many of my clients have been with me for years, and think of me as a trusted friend rather than simply a professional adviser. When I’m not working with clients I enjoy cycling and spending time with my family. I’m also an accomplished home-brewer (though not everyone [...]

About me I am a Chartered Financial Planner and a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society, hold the award in Long Term Care and have been working at HFMC since 2015. I believe that it is essential to not only have an understanding of each client's current circumstances, but also to fully comprehend what is that they are looking to achieve in the future so that I am able to develop a bespoke strategy that is beneficial now, throughout their lifetime and in some cases through to future generations as well. The biggest reward for me comes from relieving my clients and their families of the stresses of managing their personal finances, allowing them to focus on other more rewarding aspects of their lives. Typically I work with professionals and their families in a holistic manner, building long term relationships with my clients and working closely with them as they transition through the various stages of their lives. Outside of work my interests include cars, driving and motor racing; spending time with my friends and family; going to the cinema and cooking.
